Who is Nikola Tesla?

Ask: Who is Nikola Tesla?

Nikola Tesla was an engineer and scientist who was known for his experiments and discoveries in electrical and related fields. To this day he is known by many as the father of electricity.

What made him better known:

It was the discovery of alternating current, many in the scientific and academic circles venerate him for this feat. Although he studied a lot on the subject, he was not the one who discovered alternating current. When he was still working as a telephone engineer, transformers were already being manufactured and tested for distributing electricity over long distances. What he truly created was the induction motor that works on alternating current, since at the time there were only direct current ones.

He did not create the X-RAY. The creator of this equipment was the British scientist William Croques.

He was not the creator of radio and wireless communication: Guillermo Marconi was already studying about it at the time. Tesla won the patents for the equipment used and made several demonstrations of the operation of boats and equipment by remote control, but many other scientists had already made several discoveries in these areas.

He was not as ignored as the books claim, as he was well known at the time, and had certain funding on several of his projects. At times he was considered a celebrity!

The idea of frée wireless energy distribution was considered unfeasible and utopian by today’s scientists.

They found no evidence of the creation of the death ray that he claimed to have created at the time. Another detail is that he launched these rumors when he was suffering from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).

Although not everything that people mystify about Nikola Tesla is true, he remains one of the most important scientists today, as his discoveries revolutionized the areas of electricity and telecommunications, allowing the unleashing of computer systems, networks, telephony, industrial devices, etc.

Ask: who is nekola tesla?

nekola tesla is a great inventor

Nikola Tesla was a Serbian-American invenetor, engineer, and a futurist who  contributed to the development of Alternating-current electrical system. Tesla was born on July 1856 in Yugoslavia (Croatia today) and went to the United States where he met and worked with Thomas Edison, was that time working on Direct-current electrical system. The Two work together until they parted away due to misunderstanding.

His invention of the Alternating-current (AC) electrical system caught the attention of many American engineers including american businessman  George Westinghouse who was then looking for a best alternative in supplying the country’s electricity through long-distance power, and Tesla’s AC electrical system is the answer. Tesla and Westinghouse  put up a direct competition with Thomas Edison’s Direct-current (DC) electrical System.

Tesla’s invention was then chosen to lighting of big parts of Chicago, and then invented the world’s first Alternating-current hydroelectric Power plants in the United States using the Niagara Falls, that was then used then to power the major places in New York.

Besides the invention of AC Electrical System, he also invented “Tesla Coil” used in wireless technologies in radio technology. He was also a pioneer on the Discovery of Radar Technology, X-Ray Technology and many more others including his then ambitious unfinished invention and development of global wireless communication system.

Nikola Tesla died on January 7, 1943, at the age of 86 in NYC.
