Is there similarities and differences between the celebration of Indian

Ask: Is there similarities and differences between the celebration of Indian New Year and the Philippines?Cite some situations wherein they are similar and different. .

Answer:

I’ve found these similarities between India and Philippines:

Time and Punctuality: The people in these countries take time for granted. If you invite an Indian or Filipino at 11:30 am, they’ll arrive at 12 pm. Many of the times, they’d be unapologetic of their lack of punctuality. This a sharp contrast to many western countries and even eastern countries like Japan who don’t tolerate even 1 minute delay.

Laziness & Discipline: People of both countries have quite many lazy people who are unwilling to work hard. (No generalizations, but observations.) They always look for shortcuts and easy methods. Also, they lack discipline and their living is pretty disorganized. This is a sharp contrast to people in Japan, Korea, Singapore, etc who work as long as 12 hours per day and overtime is quite common.

Marriage & Dating: People of both countries take relationships seriously with the intention of being together forever. Marriages are considered sacred and divorces are rare. It’s encouraged to solve their problems together with mutual understanding, cooperation and compromising. It’s discouraged to quit or give up a relationship unless it’s a serious problem. This is in contrast to countries like USA or Japan or Korea where dating, breakups, divorces have become a common thing.

Jugaad (Life Hacks): People in both countries know how to reuse things in a productive way. They know how to use things in a creative way which costs less.

Settling abroad: Many people want to settle abroad and wish for a rich life. Preferred countries for Indians are USA and UK while for Philippines it’s Japan and Singapore.

Spirituality: Many people are religious and God is a part of their lives. They regularly visit places of worship with true feelings of faith. People in the west and far east are more irreligious.

Is the level wherein the reader understands the information that

Ask: Is the level wherein the reader understands the information that is directly written in the tex. The reader need not to read between the lines. Oftentimes, it answers the questions who, what, when and where.

Answer:

DEVELOPMENT BEFORE KINDERGARTEN: THE FIRST FIVE YEARS

Learning to read and write begins long before the school years, as the biological, cognitive, and social precursors are put into place. One of the most important preconditions for literacy is the integrity of a child’s health and sensory organs, since the window for the establishment of such skills as language is relatively brief. The child’s intelligence, as long as it is in the normal range, does not have much of an impact on the ease of learning to read (Stanovich et al., 1984). The capacity to learn to read and write is related to children’s age-related developmental timetables, although there is no clear agreement on the precise chronological or mental age nor on a particular developmental level that children must reach before they are “ready” to learn to read and write.

Children gain an increasingly complex and decontextualized understanding of the world as their brains develop during their first years of life. As they grow and gain experience, new neural connections are established at irregular rates, with spurts and plateaus (Peterson, 1994). Although this process is orderly, it is variable among individual children due to differences in both biological and experiential influences.

Children who become successful readers tend to exhibit age-appropriate sensory, perceptual, cognitive, and social skills as they progress through the preschool years. Through the interaction of maturation and experience, they become increasingly adept at mastering physical dexterity and locomotion, at categorizing and constructing relationships between physical objects, at remembering facts and events over time, at engaging in imaginative play, at forming social relationships, and so forth.

Of course, many factors in an infant’s life can affect development, ranging from maternal mental and physical health to conditions of housing, temperament, nutrition, and emotional stress and support. Although all these can have an impact on later literacy
